A Royal Night

Chick fil a hosted a princess party for kids recently.  Dress like a princess and get a free kids meal.  How could we pass that up?

Lizzy got to do everything a real princess does.  Check on her herd, get a manicure, get a tattoo, bejewel a crown, hunt pirates down, get a few more tattoos,  eat ice cream, and hang out with other princess types.  Needless to say, it was a good night for her!

When Lee goes shopping

My guy went grocery shopping with one of the kids!  I couldn't help laughing as I unpacked organic milk, hamburger helper, organic veggies and two bags of potato chips from the same bag.  :-)

Chicka BOOM!

Nye has a new favorite book.  I've read it at least 20 times this week, so it was a relief when Lizzy took over.

Man Up...

Baby faces don't make themselves people.  It takes work to look like this!

Nye's beauty tip:  If you run out of hair gel, using shaving cream instead...or toothpaste.  The bonus of using toothpaste: cleanup's a breeze, just lick your fingers.

Change

Lee's been going into work earlier.  I love it, but not everyone is a fan.  This was the second morning in a row Nye crawled into our bed and Lee wasn't there.

New discovery

We've recently discovered Taratabong: World of the Meloditties.

It's sort of brilliant if you want your kids to learn about musical instruments and don't mind watching some TV.  My kids have been running around all week pretending to be various musical instruments.  Nye is usually Snary (the blue snare drum) and Lizzy is Drumba (the pink "mommy").  But it's always surprising to listen in on their play and hear things like, "'Lizzy, lizzy, I'm grand piano!'  'Ok Nye, I'll be pianolini, no, no, I'll be a harp!'"

WARNING: Lots of Potty Talk

Sometimes all you can do is grab the camera and try not to shake too hard while laughing quietly.  You'll see I have lots of those moments.

Washing in the Sun

The sun peeked out a few weeks ago and we promptly got out the water.  It was a lovely, if very wet, day.  I really do have good help!

The only downside, Nye had to change clothes three times due to friendly fire from the enthusiastic cleaner.

Playing Pooh Sticks in the Park

Lizzy's comment upon seeing me post this:  "Yeah, I remember Pooh Sticks.  I kept winning."

It's true....
